Try using a harder brush, the softer brush is used pretty rarely in general.
Also, are you using a tablet? If not, I think it would help you greatly if you want to get serious with digital drawing. If you have a tablet, trigger the pressure sensitivity.

Also, try to block the colors, there is many tutorial on the web on the subject.

If you want some serious critique, I would suggest heading to 4chans /ic/ and posting on the drawthreads, it's kinda hard getting crits here.

Ok thanks. Im too poor for a tablet. I have been using a hard brush though I use the opacity at around 10 percent when shading and highlighting kind of like pencil work though a major pain when using a glitchy mouse lol. Not sure what you mean by blocking the colors so ill definitely look it up. Thank you. Hopefully in the future ill have some better quality work. Thank you again

This piece is so cool.
It put a scene in my head where the man is an old explorer and realizing he's falling down a bottomless pit, since the blank expression.
I especially like the colored copies of him in the background.
